Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of the Ranomics Tools service operated at tools.ranomics.com ("Service"). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. The Service is operated by Ranomics, a company based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada ("Ranomics", "we", "us").

1. Accounts

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You agree to provide an accurate email address and to keep your password secure. You are responsible for all activity on your account.

2. Payments and wallet balance

The Service uses a USD prepaid wallet. New accounts receive a one-time starting balance of $5 USD as a courtesy; this credit has no cash value and may be revoked at our discretion in cases of abuse. You may add funds to your wallet via Stripe Checkout. Wallet balance is denominated in USD and is consumed when you run GPU jobs.

No refunds. Wallet top-ups are non-refundable except where required by law. GPU jobs that fail before any compute is consumed are not charged; jobs that fail mid-run are charged for actual compute time used. Disputed charges should be raised with us at hello@ranomics.com before contacting your card issuer.

3. GPU jobs, results, and artifacts

When you submit a job, you grant us a non-exclusive license to execute the job on third-party GPU infrastructure (currently Modal) and to store the inputs and resulting artifacts on object storage for delivery to you. You retain ownership of your inputs and of any designs, structures, or other outputs the Service generates from them.

Artifact retention. Job inputs and outputs are retained for ninety (90) days after the job completes, after which they may be permanently deleted. You should download anything you need to keep before then.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Design biological agents intended to cause harm.
• Submit inputs you do not have the right to use.
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or overload the Service.
• Share account credentials or resell access without permission.

5. Research-tool disclaimer

The Service is a research tool. Outputs are computational predictions, not validated reagents. You are solely responsible for any downstream wet-lab validation, regulatory compliance, or therapeutic application.

6. Termination

You may close your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate your account for breach of these Terms or for abuse of the Service. Wallet balance at the time of termination for cause is forfeit.

7. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RANOMICS' TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

8. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.
